Ski accident in Tyrol: German (28) dies in avalanche |  Regional

Kühtai – Terrible accident while skiing in the Tyrolean mountains: Three Germans were caught in an avalanche during a ski tour, and a woman (28) died.

On Saturday around 9 a.m., the tourist took the bus with her partner (26) and his friend (32) to the Kühtai (Stubaier) ski area Alps). According to the Tyrol police, they wanted to climb to the Gaiskogel (2,820 meters) with freeride skis and a splitboard and ski down the Nordrinne from there.

Another avalanche swept the 28-year-old into the depths. She was buried by the snow. The alerted mountain rescue team dug them out. Tragic: Attempts at resuscitation were unsuccessful and the woman died at the scene of the accident.

Her partner and his friend, who was not hit by the avalanche, remained uninjured and were rescued by the emergency helicopter and looked after by mountain rescue.
