Alexandra Yakovleva was born in 1957 in Kaliningrad. Her real name is Ivanes, she took a pseudonym from the name of her grandfather. In 1978 she graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Music and Cinematography (LGITMiK). She retired from cinema in 1993.
