An official American source announced the suspension of negotiations with Iran on nuclear issues. According to the newspaper “Ash-Sharq al-Awsat”, the differences between the parties remain significant.
The main problem is the requirement of the ayatollah regime to remove the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps from the list of terrorist organizations. The US is not ready for this step.
“The decision is to be made by President Joe Biden. It has not yet been made, and we know that from a political point of view, this is an extremely difficult decision,” the source said.
The removal of the IRGC from the list of terrorist organizations is opposed by the Middle Eastern allies of the United States, primarily Israel. Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid issued a joint statement denouncing the move.
