Iranian authorities announced on Monday that the funeral of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi will be held in Tehran on Wednesday, after his death in a helicopter crash. Vice President for Executive Affairs Mohsen Mansouri told state television: “The funeral procession will be held on Wednesday morning in the city of Tehran” for my president and his companions who were killed in the helicopter crash, including Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian.

Iranian media said that the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces ordered an investigation into the cause of the helicopter crash of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and his accompanying delegation.

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, ordered an investigation into the cause of the crash of the helicopter carrying President Ebrahim Raisi and other officials, which claimed their lives in northwestern Iran.
The Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) reported that Bagheri ordered “a high-level committee to open an investigation into the cause of the president’s helicopter crash” on Sunday.
Turkish Transport Minister Abdulkadir Oraloglu confirmed that the signal system of the helicopter that crashed carrying the Iranian president and foreign minister was not activated, or that the plane did not have such a system. He added: “But (we believe) the signal system was most likely not activated unfortunately, or that the helicopter did not have this signal system, because the signals did not (appear this time).”
