A woman dies in London attacked by her two American Bully XL dogs

A woman has died in London after being attacked by her two dogs, of the American bully XL breed, according to The Guardian. The woman, who was in her 50s, lived in Cornwall Close, east London, and when officers arrived after receiving a call, the dogs were locked in a room.

Although a medical team was brought to the house, the woman was declared dead on the spot. The Police have assured that such was the threat posed by the animals that armed officers had to go to the scene.

Since last February 1, it has been mandatory in the United Kingdom to have a special certificate to own a dog of this breed. Additionally, the law establishes that all owners of these animals are required to neuter them, microchip them, and keep them on a leash and muzzle in public, among other restrictions.
