The helicopter carrying the Prime Minister of Armenia made an emergency landing due to bad weather

Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan announced that the helicopter carrying him had to make an unplanned landing in the northern region of the country due to bad weather.

“Friends, everything is fine. Our helicopter had to land in Vanadzor due to bad weather conditions. We are continuing to travel by car. Wishing everyone a good day,” Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on social networks on May 25.

The video released by Prime Minister Pashinyan shows him greeting soldiers at the airport and boarding the Mi-8/17 multi-purpose helicopter number 01 Green of the Armenian Air Force. In the following scene, the plane flew into a mountainous area covered with dense clouds, poor visibility and had to land in a small stadium.

Vanadzor is the third largest city in Armenia, also the capital of Lori province in the northern mountainous region of the country. Armenian media said Mr. Pashinyan was on his way to visit the Baganis region bordering Azerbaijan.

The incident occurred nearly a week after a helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and many officials of this country crashed into a mountain in dense fog, killing all 9 people on board. network.
