In Rostov-on-Don, prisoners accused of links with ISIS took hostages in a pre-trial detention center

On Sunday, June 16, in Rostov-on-Don, prisoners held in one of the cells of pre-trial detention center No. 1 took two employees hostage and demanded that they be provided with transport, TASS reports, citing sources in law enforcement agencies. The attackers were armed with knives, sharpeners, fire axes and rubber batons taken from the guards.

Negotiations are underway to free the hostages.

A TASS source reported that the prisoners who took the hostages are accused, among other things, of terrorist crimes, in particular of connections with the Islamic State.

The information is being clarified.

Telegram channel 112 publishes footage with statements from terrorists and reminds that they were arrested in 2022, when they were going to blow up the Supreme Court of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic of the Russian Federation.
