Ankara welcomes Yerevan's decision to recognize the state of Palestine

The Foreign Ministry of Turkey published a statement in which it approved Armenia’s decision to recognize the state of Palestine.

“We welcome Armenia’s decision to follow the example of Spain, Ireland, Norway and Slovenia and recognize the state of Palestine. We have always emphasized that the recognition of Palestine is a requirement of international law, justice and conscience,” said the statement of the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey states that Ankara will continue to make efforts so that the largest number of states recognize Palestine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia announced the recognition of the state of Palestine this morning.
