Body found in Germany belongs to missing 6-year-old Arian

The police do not share information about the cause of death out of respect for the privacy of the relatives. The boy from Elm, located in the northern state of Lower Saxony, ran away from home at the end of April and was not seen again. The police assumed that the child with autism had left the house on his own and launched a major search. These searches involved up to 1,200 people at a time.

A farmer found the body on Monday afternoon in a meadow near Arian’s hometown. The police assumed it was Arian. DNA research has shown that it is indeed the 6-year-old boy. According to German media, the discovery was made a few kilometers from Arian’s parental home. They also report that that area was included in the searches.
