A peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia is available. Blinken

Yerevan and Baku have a unique opportunity to achieve peace. This was announced by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, speaking at the Brookings Institute in Washington.

According to a high-ranking American official, the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace agreement will “put an end to decades of conflict” and “create huge economic opportunities” in the region.

“I think there is a rare opportunity, a potential, to implement a peace agreement between countries that will end the decades-long conflict and, in fact, create a huge opportunity in the region for economic interaction, economic growth, as well as countries with each other – east-west, north – to connect in south directions. Azerbaijan plays an extremely important role in this matter,” the US Secretary of State stated.

The head of American diplomacy emphasized that Azerbaijan has an important role in this.

“We have invested intensive efforts through our diplomacy, trying to help Azerbaijan and Armenia reach a peace agreement. We did it through very close cooperation and coordination with the European Union, and I think it is possible to achieve it. About a week ago, I spoke with President Aliyev on this occasion,” State Secretary Blinken noted.
