El Al plane makes emergency landing in Turkey, denied refueling

An El Al passenger plane carrying many Israelis made an emergency landing at Antalya Airport in Turkey due to a medical incident involving one of the passengers. The plane was flying from Warsaw to Tel Aviv.

As reported on Sunday, June 30, by mako.co.il, passengers were warned that they would have to spend several hours on the plane and were not allowed to leave the aircraft. In addition, Turkish authorities refused to refuel the plane.

According to El Al, the plane in question was flight LY5102 from Warsaw to Tel Aviv. One of the passengers felt ill, and after consulting with the doctor who was assisting the passenger on board, the pilots decided to make an emergency landing in order to take the passenger to the hospital as soon as possible.

The Israeli company is currently awaiting a response from Turkey regarding the refueling of the aircraft. It should be noted that after the start of the Iron Swords War, direct air traffic with Turkey was terminated.
