Russia considers Armenia its ally. Overchuk

Moscow continues to consider Yerevan as an ally, and economic cooperation between the two countries is growing noticeably. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk stated this in a conversation with journalists.

“We proceed from the fact that Armenia is our ally. We have very important economic relations with Armenia. Our trade turnover with Armenia is 7.3 billion dollars, and if we look at the statistics, it has doubled compared to last year. The pace is very good, the economy is developing very well,” said the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, reminding also about the “active participation” of Armenia in EAEU.

The Russian TASS agency informs that Deputy Prime Minister Overchuk spoke about this in the context of the issue of Armenia’s participation in the NATO jubilee summit.
