Qatar allocates $20 million for salaries of Lebanese soldiers

Qatari authorities have announced that they have transferred $20 million to Lebanon. The funds are intended to provide financial support to Lebanese army personnel who cannot make ends meet on their salaries.

The soldiers will be paid $100 per month. Doha notes that this decision was made in continuation of the previous similar tranche, approved in 2022 and amounting to $60 million.

It should be noted that the international community perceives the Lebanese armed forces as an element stabilizing the situation in the country. However, it turns a blind eye to the actions of the terrorist group Hezbollah.
