Oldenburg – This coup was really bold!

Back in March, two thieves stole from a parked safe transporter in the city centre of Oldenburg (Lower Saxony) a bag of silver coins. The police are now searching for the perpetrators using photos from a surveillance camera.

Thieves carry away 20 kilograms of silver coins

At around 10:15 a.m. on March 27, the van stopped at Achternstrasse 41. The courier driver wanted to pick up more packages, closed the sliding door and left his vehicle. When he returned, the door of his car was open. Police spokesman Raik Pohl: „The Perpetrator opened the side sliding door in an unobserved moment and took out a light-coloured valuables bag weighing about 20 kilograms.” In it: Old silver coins that should be recycled. Value: around 10,000 euros.
