According to the forecast, the tropical storm may strengthen towards the southern coast of Texas and cause flooding in the area starting tomorrow. Therefore, officials called on residents to prepare before the expected damage and evacuate their homes. “Everybody needs to pay attention to this storm,” the Texas lieutenant governor said during a briefing last night.

Matagorda County in Texas issued a voluntary evacuation order ahead of the storm’s arrival, as posted on social media, and called on two other counties, Sargent and Palacio, to evacuate as well. To the visitors and tourists staying at the place it is written: “Please consider returning at an earlier date if that is what you feel is right to do.” Also, the weather service asked the people of Houston to remain vigilant in light of the expected continuation of increased rainfall and the potential for winds later.
