Erdogan and Macron discussed regional issues in Washington

The presidents of Turkey and France, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Emmanuel Macron, discussed regional issues in Washington, as well as the war between Ukraine and Russia, Israel and Palestine.

According to the Turkish Anadolu Agency, Erdogan emphasized the importance of strengthening relations between Turkey and France in all fields.

Emphasizing the need to activate the process of Turkey’s accession to the European Union, Erdogan said that Turkey expects support in this matter.

Emphasizing that Western countries’ encouragement of Israel’s ceasefire will contribute to regional and world peace, the Turkish president called on his counterpart to take concrete steps in this direction.
