Cairo – WAM The Arab Republic of Egypt has condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli raids on the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis, which claimed the lives of dozens of innocent Palestinian civilians and injured many others. In a statement today, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration called on Israel to stop disregarding the lives of defenceless civilians, stressing the need for Israel to adhere to humanitarian standards and international laws, including international humanitarian law. The ministry stressed that these crimes will not be subject to a statute of limitations and cannot be justified under any circumstances. Egypt stressed that the ongoing violations against the Palestinians further complicate efforts to achieve calm and a ceasefire, and exacerbate human suffering
