Efteling office evacuated after false bomb threat, Belgian arrested

The office of the Dutch amusement park De Efteling was evacuated for a while on Monday after a false bomb threat. This was reported by the Brabants Dagblad. A Belgian was reportedly arrested.

When a bomb threat was received at the Efteling on Monday, the amusement park’s office was evacuated as a precaution. The adjacent park show Raveleijn was also temporarily cancelled.

The police reportedly drove to the park en masse, but quickly concluded that there was no bomb. It was therefore a false threat.

It eventually turned out that the call came from Belgium. “In cooperation with the Belgian police, the suspect was arrested at home,” the spokesperson for the Zeeland-West-Brabant unit told the Brabants Dagblad. It would concern a “confused person.”
