Frankfurt – When you think of a beach holiday, the metropolis on the Main is certainly not the first place that springs to mind.
If you want to be convinced otherwise: This weekend the Osthafen Festival will take place again, with music, culture, sporting events, harbour tours, in the middle of Frankfurt!
For patron, Stephanie Wüst (FDP) I know about Festival one of the most beautiful in Frankfurt and “a unique opportunity to discover our East Harbour, get to know the companies at the location, relax in a deck chair by the water and at the same time experience a great program” – said Wüst at the presentation of the Major event.
What awaits the guests?
During the day there is a program around the harbor, shipping and beyond: from boat tours, clothing markets and harbor tours to children’s discos and the ship parade on Saturday evening, in which you can even take part with your own boat. On the festival website you can find the complete program.
By the way: You can even go into the water, either with a paddle boat, water bike or stand-up paddle.

51 music acts will perform, including 90s legends such as Oli P. and Lou Bega (Mambo No. 5). The festival is open on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. and on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
