On Wednesday, shortly after 10:00 p.m. in Slunj, in Eugena Kvaternik Street, a policeman under the influence of alcohol lost control of his vehicle and hit a curb, and in further uncontrolled movement, he landed in a valley. A child from the vehicle was slightly injured in the traffic accident.
As reported by the police, the passenger car with Karlovna license plates was driven by a police officer from the Karlovna Police Department who was off duty.
The trainč was under the influence of alcohol and will be served with a misdemeanor order due to the offenses under the Road Traffic Safety Act. The police officer was removed from duty by the decision of the head of the Karlovy Vary Police Department, and a request will be filed against him for the initiation of disciplinary proceedings due to a serious violation of official duty.
