Trump warns of “third world war” if election lost

Former US President Donald Trump has met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned of a “third world war”should his Republicans not win the presidential election. “If we win, everything will be very easy. Then everything works and very quickly“, said Trump, who received Netanyahu and his wife at his Florida estate on Friday. “If we don’t win, there will be major wars in the Middle East and maybe the third world war.“

The meeting with Trump was the last stop on Netanyahu’s trip to the USA. On Wednesday he defended Israel’s actions in the war with the radical Islamist Hamas in the Gaza Strip before Congress in Washington. On Thursday he met with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris of the Democrats.

The reception at Trump’s Florida estate was warm. The Republican presidential candidate posed for photos with thumbs up In a photo posted online by Netanyahu, he was wearing a cap with the words “Total Victory” emblazoned on it – the prime minister’s stated goal in the fight against Hamas.

Trump took a sharp shot at his political opponents from the Democrats on Friday. “Our country will ruled by incompetent people“, he said. Harris, who is Trump’s likely opponent in the presidential election in November, is even worse than Biden.

In contrast to the Democrat, who had called on Netanyahu to do more for a ceasefire in view of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, Trump on Friday no public demands on Netanyahu As president, the Republican will do everything he can to bring peace to the Middle East and combat anti-Semitism at U.S. universities, Trump’s campaign team said in a statement after the meeting.

On Thursday, the former president had called on the Israeli head of government in an interview with Fox News to he must “quickly end” the Gaza war.

The Republicans welcomed Netanyahu with applause and cheers during his speech to the US Congress on Wednesday, while the Democrats were clearly more reserved. In his speech, the Israeli Prime Minister also personally thanked Trump “for everything he has done for Israel.”
