The FBI has raided the Virginia home of popular Russian broadcaster Dmitry Simes

The officers of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI, FBI) ​​searched the private house of Dmitry Simes, a Russian political scientist, a well-known presenter of the Russian “First Channel” federal television station, located in Virginia, the Rappahannock News reports.

Symes confirmed the information in a conversation with TASS agency.

Dmitry Symes was born in the Soviet Union, moved to the United States in the 1970s, and is best known as the publisher of The National Interest magazine.

The political scientist had close ties with Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. In the US Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russia’s meddling in that election, Symes’ name is mentioned more than a hundred times.
