“We will discuss it with von der Leyen, I believe he would be the best choice”. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister and leader of Forza Italia Antonio Tajani in an interview with Corriere della Sera, responding to a question on the possibility that Italy could indicate the Minister for European Affairs, Cohesion Policies and the PNRR Raffaele Fitto as European Commissioner.
“He is prepared and has experience in Europe, which is essential for dealing with dossiers. Replacing him as minister cannot be a problem: many know the dynamics of a ministry in Italy, very few those in Europe, and he knows them. He is the right man”, Tajani underlines again.
