The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation has declared the activities of the American non-governmental organization Clooney Foundation for Justice, created by actor George Clooney, to be undesirable.
“The foundation supports false patriots who have left the country, members of banned extremist groups and terrorist organizations,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
The foundation was created by actor George Clooney and his wife, British lawyer of Lebanese origin Amal Clooney. It provides legal support to those who have suffered from human rights violations. The foundation has branches in 40 countries.
