A strong storm hit yesterdayć Croatia and along with the thunder brought heavy rain in the Zagreb area as well. Zagreb’s firefighters reported that they had 35 interventions during the night, and a firefighter was injured during one of them.
Firefighter DVD by Kustoshi fell during the intervention, injured himself and is under observation in the hospital, but walks normally, they reported.
Firefighters reported that they had the most water pumping out of buildings, as many as 29 water pumping interventions, and they pulled two cars out of the water. Tonight there was also a fire in the building and they had to remove a tree.
At the meteorological station Maksimir, 89.9 liters of rain were measured since yesterday, Zoran Vakula said this morning in Dobro jutro, Croatia.
– This is a record amount of rain for that station in August – said Zoran Vakula on HRT.
