Tehran announces that Israel can wait a long time for Iran’s retaliatory actions

The spokesman of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, Alimohammad Naini, said today that Israel can wait a long time for Iranian retaliatory actions, stressing that time is in Tehran’s favor.

“The enemy should wait for a calculated and precise answer,” he said.

After the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on July 31, Iran announced that it will take revenge. Israel has neither confirmed nor denied that it was behind the killing.

The United States has asked allies with ties to Iran to persuade it to ease tensions in the Middle East. Naini also said that Tehran supports any steps that lead to the end of the war in Gaza, but added that it does not consider the actions of the US to be sincere.
