Seven people were killed in an Israeli attack in southern Lebanon

Seven people, including a child, were killed on Friday in Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon, Lebanese security services and state media reported.

Most of those killed were Hezbollah fighters, sources from Hezbollah and the Lebanese security services said.

Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) announced earlier that an Israeli drone hit a house in the town of Aita al-Dzcaronabal with two alleged rockets, killing two people, including a seven-year-old child.

Three people were killed in an earlier Israeli attack on the city of Tayer Harfa, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced.

Meanwhile, security sources said two Hezbollah members were also killed late Friday, one in Aitrun and the other in Mais al-Džabal.

The Israeli army confirmed all the attacks, and Hezbollah confirmed the number of dead among its fighters.

The Israeli army announced that in the past few hours a series of missiles fired from Lebanese territory had been identified and entered northern Israel.

They added that most of the projectiles fell on open areas in the Upper Galilee and that no one was injured.

The Israeli military says its forces “eliminated Hezbollah terrorists” in various locations in southern Lebanon.

Earlier in the day, the army confirmed that “Israeli soldiers identified a terrorist cell that was planning to fire missiles from the Tayer Harf area in southern Lebanon towards Israeli territory and eliminated it.”

Hezbollah claims to have destroyed surveillance equipment at Meron Air Base in northern Israel in response to Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon. The group said they also fired a barrage of rockets into northern Israel.

Since the beginning of the war in the Gaza Strip, there have been daily military clashes between the Israeli army and the Hezbollah militia in Lebanon and other groups in the border area between the countries.

There were casualties on both sides, most of them Hezbollah fighters.
