Moscow has no worries about Putin’s upcoming visit to Mongolia

Moscow is not worried about President Vladimir Putin’s upcoming visit to Mongolia, despite the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant against the Russian president. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced this today, referring to the ICC’s arrest warrant.

“No, don’t worry about this. We have a great dialogue with our friends in Mongolia. It is obvious that all aspects of the visit were thoroughly discussed,” the Kremlin spokesman added.

The International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Putin in 2023, accusing him of war crimes for illegally deporting hundreds of children from Ukraine after Moscow invaded Ukraine.

Unlike Russia, Mongolia is a member of the International Criminal Court and recognizes the jurisdiction of the ICC.
