Alen Simonyan believes that the format of the inter-parliamentary commission of Armenia and Artsakh should be canceled

Chairman of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan believes that the format of the inter-parliamentary cooperation commission of Armenia and Artsakh should be canceled.

“I think that this format should be dissolved, because the second party is no longer competent and does not represent what it used to represent,” Simonyan announced at the beginning of the session in the parliament, answering the question of Artsvik Minasyan, deputy of the opposition “Hayastan” faction, whether he intends to Will you soon, after a long break, convene a meeting of that commission?

Alen Simonyan said that the issue of canceling the inter-parliamentary commission should be seriously discussed, because “the Nagorno-Karabakh, Artsakh official no longer exists, and no one else has such an order in RA” according to the decision of the Nagorno-Karabakh authorities.

The opposition deputy cited the legal acts, noting that the National Assembly of Artsakh was not considered competent to cancel.

  • Earlier, the authorities of Armenia have stated several times on different occasions that the activities of the state structures of Artsakh after the dissolution of Karabakh are a direct threat to the security of Armenia.
  • Referring to the decree he signed on the dissolution of Artsakh, at the end of last year, the last president of Artsakh, Samvel Shahramanyan, emphasized that there is no document in the legal field of Artsakh that envisages the dissolution of state institutions.
