Korea, the war of balloons loaded with waste continues between North and South

North Korea has launched more than a hundred balloons filled with garbage towards South Korea for the fifth consecutive day. 40 were killed in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province.

South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff confirmed that Pyongyang sent about 120 balloons filled with paper, plastic and bottles, with no dangerous substances detected inside them, South Korea’s Yonhap news agency reported.

Seoul vowed to respond with “firmness” and “calm”which could translate into broadcasting propaganda to the North Korean border through large loudspeakers, as has been done in recent weeks.
