After Ofakim and Eilat, which opened water parks in the south in recent years, the city of Dimona will also join the celebrations and is expected to open in about two years a new water park that should cater to the residents of the city and the surrounding area, as well as to vacationers who make their way to Eilat and on the way will want to enjoy it. It will be the first closed water park of its kind in Israel.
This is an indoor water park that should be built according to European standards. The approvals for its construction were received in the last few days and the contractor was chosen to carry out the works, infrastructure and dirt. The cost of the grandiose project is estimated at NIS 160 million and the works are expected to start in the coming days.
In the water park there will be hot baths, spa facilities of the highest level, attractions and facilities for children and floating bars.
“The place will serve as a tourist attraction and will attract many visitors from all over the country and the world,” said the mayor of Dimona, Benny Biton. “The residents of Dimona and the surrounding area also deserve a water park with European standards.”
