One of the most famous popular restaurants suggested to tourists in Singapore will be closed in August by the owner decided to retire.
The iron -fried oyster shop (Lim’s Fried Oyster) in the Berseh Food Area Jalan Besar is marked 4.6/5 stars on Tripadvisor.
The owner, Lin Weifa and his wife, Pan Huiling, are 73 years old, opened a restaurant since 1977. Ms. Pan said they did not want to wait until she was no longer able to retire but wanted to stop when she was still healthy. The food area will also be renovated in September, so this is the right time to close the shop.

To serve customers for decades, Mr. Lin and Mrs. Pan have always been busy with their hands. They often sleep and stay up all night. “We often come home at 4-5 hours and can only take a nap after 8 o’clock,” Ms. Pan added.
The store’s notice makes many customers regret. In recent days, many diners have lined up in front of the shop to wait to enjoy their favorite food. “Everyone heard that we were about to close, so they came here. In the past few days, the shop was more crowded than usual,” Ms. Pan said on April 7.
Shin Min arrived at the shop at about 17h on 5/4 after learning that the shop was closed on social networks. At that time, the owner and the owner of the shop were preparing an order of 30, and had to open an hour early. However, there were about 30 guests queuing. Shin said sad because the shop was closed but also happy because the owner could retire when her health was still good.
