Da Nang fined three international travel businesses more than 300 million VND

On December 10, the Da Nang City Inspectorate announced its conclusions on compliance with the law in international travel service business and tourist service establishments. Through inspection of 8 businesses, authorities identified many violations, of which three units were administratively sanctioned with high fines.

Sky Family Tourism Services and Trading Company Limited was subject to the highest fine of more than 215 million VND. Authorities determined that this business sold goods without issuing invoices, evaded taxes and signed labor contracts with incomplete content as prescribed.

Danang Guide Man Co., Ltd. was fined 64 million VND for not properly implementing the statistical reporting regime and not fully meeting the conditions for travel service business according to the provisions of the Tourism Law.

The branch of Au Lac Investment and Tourism Co., Ltd. in Da Nang was fined 30 million VND for employing two foreign workers who did not work according to the content stated in their work permits.

From the inspection results, the Da Nang City Inspectorate proposed to the Chairman of the City People’s Committee to direct relevant departments and branches to tighten the management of international travel activities. In particular, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is required to strengthen inspection and prevent violating tours; Coordinate with police and functional units to review the use of foreign workers.

The tax industry is assigned to strengthen inspection of invoices, documents, tax declaration and payment to prevent budget revenue loss and ensure a transparent and healthy tourism business environment.

According to the Da Nang City Inspectorate, strict handling of violations aims to restore order in travel business activities and protect the city’s tourism image.
