Three-day itinerary to explore Moc Chau during Lunar New Year

In January and February, plum and peach blossoms bloom in Moc Chau, starting the most beautiful sightseeing and photography season of the year. If you choose Moc Chau during the Lunar New Year, you should book a room and some services such as transportation, photography… right now. Day 1: Attractions near the center

After a day of traveling and checking in to the hotel, visitors should visit plum or peach blossom gardens, heart tea hills and sit down for coffee and watch the sunset.

Na Ka plum valley is the closest point, the road is easy to go and cars can go all the way to the garden. Other locations further away include Mu Nau valley, Cho Long area, Pa Phach village, Phieng Canh village. “During Tet, plum gardens will often be crowded, especially if the flowers bloom beautifully. Remote locations will be less crowded and the flowers will be more beautiful,” Mr. Kien said.

Before dinner, visitors watch the sunset at one of the famous cafes such as Da Coffee, Canh Cam cafe, Halian Garden… All cafes have a wide view of the tea hills, convenient for sightseeing and taking photos to check in.

Tourists can also visit places where cherry blossoms are expected to still bloom, such as Square, Windy Hill, and Mu Nau.

Day 2: Picking strawberries and trekking to the original Hang Tau

During the rainy season, Tau Cave is covered with green grass, budding trees, and pleasant air. Here, visitors can take photos, ride horses, trekking, admire the mountains and enjoy local dishes.

Hang Tau, an original village, nearly 20 km from the center, attracts many domestic and foreign tourists. The road to Hang Tau is small, bumpy, and is being repaired and upgraded, expected to be completed before Tet. There are not many services here, weak electricity and no internet. However, visitors can still have lunch here with some simple dishes.

In the morning, on the way from the center to Hang Tau, visitors should stop by a few strawberry gardens such as Chimi, Hana, Green Farm, Lam Son Farm… Moc Chau strawberries are large and sweet, can be eaten on the spot or bought to take away.

Day 3: Experience the rose and orange garden

Rose gardens and orange gardens still have fruit on Lunar New Year, according to Quang Kien. The gardens are only about 10 km from the center.

Oranges in Moc Chau are Navel oranges originating from Australia, suitable for the local climate so they grow well. Tourists take photos and enjoy fresh oranges right in the garden. Entrance ticket costs 40,000 VND to 50,000 VND depending on the place. Each kilogram of oranges costs from 60,000 VND to 80,000 VND depending on size.

Moc Chau persimmon is taken from Japan, there are two types: crispy persimmon and astringent persimmon. Acrid persimmon has fruit that is almost inedible, but has a bright red orange color, creating a beautiful scene when photographed.

Tourists can choose Nang Tien waterfall or Chieng Khoa waterfall instead of rose and orange gardens. These two waterfalls are farther from the center, but the scenery is beautiful, peaceful and “worth going”.

During three days in Moc Chau, some dishes to try include salmon – sturgeon specialties, milk hotpot, veal stir-fry, fried stream fish. Suggested restaurants in the center: Vuon Dao, Bat Cave, Ca Hoi 64, Ca Hoi 26, Xuan Bac, Tam Beo.
