The “Scents of Tay Ninh 2026” festival includes many folk art performances, viewing flower gardens with thousands of tulips, and worshiping Buddha statues, lasting from February 20 (the 4th day of Tet) to March 18.
A representative of Sun World Ba Den Mountain said that the Spring Festival on Ba Den Mountain is one of the festivals with the longest duration and largest scale in the Southern region, combining culture, entertainment and spirituality. After opening at the square in front of the tourist area’s cable car station, the program offers folk performances such as five-syllable music, Khmer dance, Chhay-dam drum – a national intangible cultural heritage, and many contemporary art performances. In addition to the art performances, the highlight of the opening night is the high-altitude fireworks display at the Ba Den Mountain cable car station square.

One of the highlights of this year’s festival is the spring flower space on the top of the mountain. Hundreds of thousands of tulips imported from the Netherlands and many temperate and tropical flowers are planted all over the mountain top, creating a multi-colored flower garden at an altitude of nearly 1,000 m. The representative of the tourist area said that Ba Den Mountain is a rare destination in the South with suitable climate conditions to organize seasonal flower gardens, especially at the beginning of the year.

Along with cultural and entertainment activities, spiritual elements are also important highlights of the Spring Festival. The Ba Pagoda system with a history of more than 300 years is a familiar pilgrimage place for millions of Buddhists every Tet holiday. According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, from the beginning of 2026 until now, the number of visitors to Ba Den Mountain has increased by more than 20% compared to the same period in 2025.

On the top of the mountain, visitors can worship three large Buddha statues including the bronze statue of Ba Tay Bo Da Son, the statue of Maitreya Bodhisattva made of sandstone and the statue of Buddha Cau Na Ham Muni covered with 24K gold emulsion.
The Buddha statue of Cau Na Ham Muni sat on the top of Ba Den mountain in December 2025, 7.2 m high, made of red bronze with a surface covered with 24k gold emulsion. Surrounding the statue is Udumbara Waterfall shaped from 32 golden pillars symbolizing the 32 good signs of the Buddha. The waterfall pours water into the golden lotus lake, symbolizing a wish for prosperity.
Right in the center of the complex is the 72 m high Buddha statue of Tay Bo Da Son – one of the tallest bronze statues of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva in Asia. The statue is cast from 170 tons of bronze and stands majestically on the top of the mountain.
Resting at an altitude of nearly 1,000 m is the Maitreya Bodhisattva Statue, 36 m high, 45 m wide, weighing more than 5,112 tons. The statue is assembled from 6,688 natural sandstone pieces inspired by terraced fields.

In addition to worshiping and enjoying flowers, visitors to the Ba Den Mountain Spring Festival can experience the cable car panoramic view of the Tay Ninh Delta, take an early morning walk, enjoy local cuisine in a festive space or watch the sunset at an altitude of 1,000 m.
