Another Israeli company has started canceling flights for Passover

Despite the restrictions and ahead of Passover, El Al publishes a new flight schedule for the period between March 21 and 28, in light of the continued Home Front Command restrictions. The company will operate flights to only 12 main destinations, selected based on demand requirements and operating capacity within the limits, to allow a maximum number of passengers to leave Israel.

The destinations that will be included in the flight schedule include New York, Miami and Los Angeles in the USA; Bangkok, Phuket and Tokyo in Asia; and Paris, London, Milan, Madrid, Munich and Athens in Europe. Passengers whose flights were supposed to be to these destinations will be automatically transferred to the existing flights without the need to take any additional actions on the part of the passengers.

At the same time, El Al announces the cancellation of flights for next week to other destinations, including Rome, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Geneva and Warsaw. The company states that if security restrictions are eased, it will be able to operate additional flights and provide solutions for an additional number of passengers. Passengers whose flights have been canceled can choose between a full refund and a voucher for future use.

It is important to mention that El Al informed us earlier that due to the restrictions on the activities of the National Aviation Administration and in accordance with the directives of the Home Front Command, the flights planned to depart between March 21-27 to several destinations have been canceled: Tbilisi, Budapest, Zurich, Barcelona, Belgrade, Berlin, Boston, Batumi, Fort Lauderdale, Frankfurt, Heraklion, Krakow, Larnaca, London Luton, Lyon, Marseille, Bucharest, Paphos, Prague, Chisinau, Thessaloniki, Sofia, Salzburg, Podgorica, Tirana, Tivat, Venice and Vienna.

Following the security situation and the existing restrictions in the airspace, Israir announces the cancellation of the original flight schedule planned before the war, until 31.3.26 (inclusive). In addition, the sale will be closed for the original flight schedule planned before the war, until April 30, 2026 (inclusive).

In light of the limitations outlined by the Ministry of Transportation on the number of seats on each flight, Israir will act as much as it can to accommodate some of the passengers whose flights were canceled on the flights taking place during this period. Placement notices will be sent to passengers. It is important to note that the supply of seats is significantly less than the demand and the amount of flights planned for that period on the eve of the start of the war and it is possible that it will not be possible to respond to all requests.

As part of the desire to benefit Israir passengers, those whose flights were canceled or who choose not to be assigned to an alternative flight, will be able to choose between a full refund and a future credit voucher worth 130% of the booking cost (for bookings made on the company’s website or through the service center).
