Reasons why you should not wear a jumpsuit on a plane

Flight attendant Cher Dallas advises passengers to skip jumpsuits and shorts to avoid exposure to bacteria in the dirtiest areas on the plane.

Before each vacation, travelers are often busy planning their trips, booking tickets, hotel rooms, and packing luggage. Therefore, many people skip the step of choosing clothes to wear when boarding the plane. Most people just want to wear something as comfortable as possible, especially on long journeys.

Cher Dallas, tiktoker and flight attendant living in Indiana, USA, Cher Dallas said airplanes can be dirty in ways that normal passengers don’t realize but the flight crew knows clearly.

In a video shared on her personal page, the flight attendant said the item she is most discouraged from wearing on the plane is a jumpsuit or jumpsuit. She called wearing this outfit “taboo” and emphasized that she “will never wear it”.

“When entering the bathroom, that outfit will touch the floor – a place full of urine and not cleaned regularly,” she explained.

Similarly, she also said she would never wear shorts because “the number of times dirty diapers are changed right on the chair is amazing”. Not to mention on flights, there are people who vomit, some who are unclean and still sit on the seat.

When it comes to shoes, many people want to wear sandals or slippers on the plane because the weather is warm where they are going. However, Dallas also says it’s absolutely avoidable.

“The carpet on the plane is very dirty. People vomit on it, bring pets on it, even rub their bare feet on it. I wouldn’t want my toes to come into direct contact with such things,” the flight attendant added.

Leggings are also not a good choice to wear when flying, although this item is popular with many people. Yoga pants and leggings are often made from synthetic fibers, are flammable and stick to the body if there is a fire. If the plane crashes, wearing leggings will make it easier for passengers to get into trouble.

To avoid the risk of discomfort or illness during a flight, fashion experts at British multinational retail group Marks & Spencer recommend choosing clothing that is soft, loose, breathable and can be worn in layers, made from cotton or natural fibers.
