Already today: the significant discounts on flights from Tel Aviv

More concessions at the airport: the number of departing passengers on the flight will increase to 100 instead of 80. More importantly, later this week they may increase the number of flights to 2 departures and landings per hour, instead of one. The concessions come after just yesterday the number of passengers departing on each flight increased by about 20 passengers.

At a press conference held this week by the Minister of Transportation, Miri Regev, she stated that in recent days there has been a reversal of the trend and more Israelis are leaving the country than returning to it, with the large majority doing so through the land crossings. In addition, the minister stated that as soon as the salting is over and we can return to normal, the National Guard is ready for this immediately.

As I recall, about a week and a half ago the strict regulations came into effect that only 50 passengers could take off on each plane, and only one takeoff per hour would be approved. Quite a few Israelis who had already bought a ticket from the limited stock that existed until now have received a cancellation. The airlines made adjustments to the new flight schedule and some even announced that they would transfer operations mainly to Taba and Aqaba.
