Three days exploring the South of Phu Quoc Island during the May 1 holiday

Southern Phu Quoc island is about 25-30 km south of Duong Dong center. This place attracts tourists with its resort and entertainment ecosystem and many beautiful beaches such as Bai Kem, Bai Sao, An Thoi archipelago and Hon Thom cable car.

On the occasion of Hung King’s death anniversary and April 30 – May 1, a time budget of 3-4 days is suitable for combining relaxation, exploring nature and experiencing night shows. Below is a suggested three-day itinerary for visitors.

Day one – visit Hoang Sunset town

After landing, tourists move to the South Island area, where the island’s most diverse accommodation ecosystem is concentrated. Here, visitors can choose to stay in the 5-star resort system developed by Sun Group, stretching along Bai Kem and Ong Doi Cape.

These hotels often have a Mediterranean style, facing the sea or city, suitable for groups of young people or tourists who want to stay near entertainment spots, coffee shops, or watch shows.

After checking in, you can spend the afternoon exploring the town with its sea-facing streets, checking in at the clock tower, dragon staircase, Arc de Triomphe gate or Kissing Bridge – the new symbolic work of the South Island.

In the evening, visitors should stroll around the Vui Phet night market with more than 100 food stalls, small bars and street music stages. This space is suitable for enjoying grilled seafood, local dishes and strolling among impromptu performances.

Day two – have fun at Hon Thom

Entering the second day, guests can experience the three-wire sea-crossing cable car with a length of 7,899 meters to reach Hon Thom island. On the island there are many game areas such as Exotica with thrilling experiences. Aquatopia Water Park has more than 20 multi-level slides, suitable for the whole family to conquer challenges or relax by the lazy river.

Besides entertainment activities, Hon Thom also has a rich culinary system. Visitors can stop at the beer district and enjoy local dishes at the countryside market.

Day three – explore cuisine, watch art shows

On the last day, visitors can continue to explore Sunset Town, stopping by the European-colored Sunset Bazaar commercial neighborhood – a place that combines walking experiences, exploring shops, cafes and bakeries.

The morning starts with bread and coffee at Maison Kayser. Continue with a stop at Apollo Café – a place that impresses with its upside-down architecture and panoramic views of the town’s symbols.

When the sun sets, the South Island becomes vibrant. From around 7:30 p.m., the show “Ocean Symphony” opens with a jetski and flyboard performance combining light, laser and fireworks on the sea surface. The space in front of the restaurant becomes a moving stage with music and visual effects.

After that, visitors can continue to experience the show “Kiss of the Sea”. The combination of 3D mapping technology, water screen, fire and high-altitude fireworks creates a multi-sensory performance space.
