While walking through Finland last summer, Kristian Muthugalage saw step by step how the landscapes and people changed along the 1,537 kilometers. He prepared to sleep in a tent every night, but during the trip he was surprised by the hospitality of the guests.

“It’s more important for me to enjoy the journey and live in the moment than to think about reaching the finish line,” says Kristian Muthugalage.

Muthugalage plans to cycle from Helsinki to Finland’s northernmost village, Nuorgami. Muthugalage has been there before. Last summer he walked from Nuorgam to Helsinki.
