In the Beit Shan valley is the spring park, and this time we are going to enjoy and get wet on the trips. So pack a picnic cooler, bathing equipment and a hat because the walk between the springs is on paths exposed to the sun. You have to know how to swim in the kibbutz creek and springs and there are also deep parts.

Where are you traveling this week?

The spring park is located in the agricultural areas of the Beit Shan valley and the entrance to it is free. The springs spring up throughout the year and you can go on trips in any season you choose. As of today, these are safe areas and you can travel in them, and of course you must listen to the instructions of the Home Front Command before going on a trip.

Since the days are very hot and weekends are quite busy, it is recommended to arrive relatively early, of course with swimwear, water and food for a picnic. If it’s too hot or you want to shorten the walk from spring to spring, you can rent a club car or a bicycle (for a fee).

What to write in Wise? The springs park. Drive on road 669 to the national park Gan HaSlosha (Sahnah) and at the traffic circle before the gate of Gan HaSlosha turn right. Drive about 800 meters on the road that bypasses the national garden parallel to the garden fence to the parking lot of the springs park. Park and walk to the entrance of the park.

A road story

Nahal Kibbutzim It is perhaps the most well-known wet route, a real celebrity of wet and cool walking routes in the summer. The kibbutz stream, which is Nahal Eitan, is in the valley of the springs and is an easy course, which is basically a course for swimming in the water, surfing in tubes, tubes, floats and a lot of laughter. On the one hand, the valley of the springs is hot in the summer, and on the other hand, the valley is full of springs that are worth going to and cooling off under a cute waterfall, or in some cool pool, and Nahal Kibbutzim is exactly like that (water temperature about 24 degrees). Near the stream there is a shady eucalyptus grove, where you can rest, eat something or wait, those who choose to forgo the wet route.

Keep in mind that it is crowded here on Saturdays because entrance to the park is free. Therefore it is advisable to arrive early, or take the situation into account. You can arrive through the main entrance to the springs park, or Write in Wise Ein Maad and walk to the spring which is about 15 minutes away.

A few more worthwhile recommendations in the area

Guru Garden (for a fee, also open on Saturdays): If your soul craves an Australian vibe, to meet some coveted hopping kangaroo, or a koala, then combine a visit to the springs with a visit to the Guru Garden. A very successful experience for children in general.

Tamar Road – Kibbutz Tirat Zvi (closed on Saturdays): You can come on Fridays or during the week to the “Derech HaTamar” visitor center. During a tour of the date plantations and information activities, you learn about the date tree, the cultivation and irrigation methods, the fruit and its benefits. Of course, it is advisable to coordinate the visit in advance.

The Green Beach and the South Bank – Nahal Hassi Kibbutz Nir David (free entry): The green beach and the southern bank of Nahal Hassi, inside Kibbutz Nir David, are open during the week including Friday, but closed on Saturdays and holidays. The area itself is active according to the limit of the number of people and all the instructions appear in the attached link.

Naharim in the bridge (Closed on Saturdays, except by prior arrangement for groups and private tours): Farther from the springs valley about 30-45 minutes drive. There are many activities in the place and during August there will be “Bridge Nights” – lantern tours on Thursday evenings, at 19:30 for an hour and a half for a fee.

It’s a bit problematic to find open places in the area, especially on Saturdays, so you should organize accordingly:

During the week and also on Fridays, there is a restaurant near Beit Alfa and Hatziba sitting “artichoke” (organic cuisine). Chef Restaurant “Rotenberg” in the old bridge. A prestigious restaurant, fine food, a menu of dishes that is not known in advance, I recommend that you go to the website and see if it is suitable for you, including the price. Closed on Saturday.
