The Arab League and OIC countries called on the international community to stop supplying arms to Israel

An extraordinary summit of the League of Arab States (LAS) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) dedicated to the situation in the Middle East was held in Riyadh. The summit participants published a joint statement in which they accused Israel of violating the sovereignty of Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Iran, and held them responsible for the breakdown of settlement negotiations mediated by Egypt, Qatar and the United States.

The final document, published on the OIC website, calls on all states to ban the supply of weapons and ammunition to Israel and calls on the ICC to issue arrest warrants for Israeli civilian and military officials for crimes against the Palestinian people.

The summit participants also announced that they intend to seek a freeze on Israel’s participation in the UN General Assembly; demanded that the UN Security Council impose sanctions against Israel for its actions in Judea and Samaria, and called for recognizing Jewish settlers as terrorists and including them on international “black lists.”
