Safe compulsory victory for Wolfsburg against Jena

VfL Wolfsburg’s footballers celebrated a competitive victory in the first Bundesliga game of the new year. The wolves conveniently conquered the penultimate FC Carl Zeiss Jena 3-0 (2: 0). In her 100th Bundesliga game with her tenth goal of the season, Lineth Beerensteyn (18th) scored the lead, which the Jenaer Felicia Sträßer expanded only two minutes later with an own goal. After the break, Janina Minge (66th) scored 3-0 in front of 2685 spectators. VfL moved in third with the victory, Jena remains eleventh.

VfL had an easy game against offensive harmless Thuringian women. Especially in half -time one there was opportunities. Among other things, Jule Brand (36.) only hit the post. Jena had trouble to cross the center line, lost many duels.

Nevertheless, there were two good options. Josephine Bonsu (42.), however, only hit Kathrin Hendrich’s back, who was also involved in the second dangerous action of the guests: Fiona Gaißer pulled off, Hendrich falsified the ball, which then landed on the slatted cross.
