Sergey Lavrov arrived in Qatar

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who does a tour of the Middle East, arrived on a visit to Qatar. He held negotiations with Emir Tamim Ben Hamad Al-Tani. At the meeting, the date of the upcoming Emir’s visit to Russia was announced: April 17.

He had previously visited Turkey and Iran. In Tehran, a Russian official held negotiations with President Masud Pesheshkian and with the Iranian colleague Abbas Aragchi.

“As part of the exchange of views on the current global and regional agenda, the emphasis was placed on the current situation in Syria, Lebanon, Afghanistan, in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, as well as Caspian problems,” the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
