After the incident that took place near the parliament with the participation of the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, two people from Demirchyan street were presented to the Arabkir department of the community police.

It is not clear on what basis the citizens were detained. Police are refusing to comment further at this time.

Arsen Ghukasyan, a relative of the missing person, told “Freedom” that activist Mikael Margaryan and Arsen Vardanyan, a member of the “All-Armenian Front” party, were detained.

The incident took place on Demichyan Street with the participation of the Speaker of the National Assembly.

The relatives of the missing servicemen have been gathering in front of the parliament building for several days, demanding the NA to publish the report of the 44-day war.

From the live broadcast of Mikael Margaryan’s Facebook page, it becomes clear that the dispute with Alen Simonyan started after the Speaker of the National Assembly refused to talk to Margaryan.

During the argument, according to the videos, mutual curses of a sexual nature are heard.

Alen Simonyan has not yet responded to this incident.

Earlier, Andranik Kocharyan, the chairman of the commission investigating the circumstances of the 44-day incident, stressed that the report did not reach the public due to Alen Simonyan’s decision, and the report and all the documents that are its basis are going to be opened to law enforcement.

The commission investigating the circumstances of the 44-day war was formed in the National Assembly in 2022 at the initiative of the government and operated without opposition members. they initially boycotted, arguing that those responsible for the defeat of the war could not be objectively investigated.

“Taking into account the fact that the report of the investigative commission studying the circumstances of the 44-day war was legally impossible to include in the agenda of the NA plenary sessions due to the inconsistency of the dates, as a result of discussions with all possible legal stakeholders, a decision was made to send the report to the first department of the NA, where every MP with a confidentiality permit can go and get acquainted with the report,” – the report was conveyed to “Azat” from the parliament.
