The alliance with “Strong Armenia” did not take place. ANC will participate in the elections separately

The efforts of the Armenian National Congress to form an alliance with the force led by billionaire Samvel Karapetyan failed, therefore today they decided to participate in the elections separately.

“Armenian National Congress made all necessary efforts with Samvel Karapetyan’s “Strong Armenia” in order to create a great alliance against the nation-destructive regime in the upcoming elections. We have demonstrated maximum flexibility, without setting any preconditions for the creation of an alliance. For reasons beyond our control, that alliance did not take place,” the party’s statement said.

Despite the failed negotiations, the force led by the first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan says that it is ready to cooperate with “Strong Armenia” and other opposition forces both in the pre-election and post-election stages, to form a coalition in the parliament and “to save the country from imminent threats”.

In 2021, the party of the first president participated alone in the elections and, having collected 19,000 votes, was left out of the parliament.
