The semi-official Iranian agency Fars reported the closure of the Gulf of Hormuz in connection with Israeli strikes on Lebanon, which Tehran regards as a gross violation of the terms of the temporary truce agreement.
Earlier, the agency, citing a source in military and security agencies, reported that Iran was completing preparations for “deterrent operations” against military targets in Israel.
Tasnim, another Iranian agency linked to the IRGC, reported that Tehran could withdraw from the agreements if Israeli attacks in Lebanon do not stop.
US President Donald Trump confirmed in an interview with PBS that the two-week ceasefire agreement does not apply to Lebanon.
