Trump attacks Meloni: "This is unacceptable, I was wrong about her"

Donald Trump criticized the Italian prime minister Giorgia Meloni to have defended Pope Leo XIV calling the American president’s attack “unacceptable”.

“That’s who she is unacceptablebecause you don’t care if Iran has a nuclear weapon and would blow up Italy in two minutes if it had the chance,” he told Corriere della Sera. “Do people like Meloni? I can’t imagine it. I’m shocked by her. I thought he had courage, I was wrong,” he added.

Oil

“Do you like the fact that your president (of the Council, ed.) is not doing anything to obtain oil?” Trump asked the Courier. “He simply says that Italy doesn’t want to be involved. Even if Italy gets its oil from there, even if America is very important to Italy. He doesn’t think Italy should be involved. He thinks America should do the work for it,” he insisted. Trump assured that he had no contact with Meloni. “No,” he responded in the interview. No interviews this month: “No, not for a long time.” This is because “he doesn’t want to help us with NATOdoesn’t want to help us get rid of nuclear weapons. It’s very different from what I thought,” he insisted.
