The coalition re-approved the transfer of money to ultra-Orthodox schools, canceled by the High Court

Opposition MPs boycotted the vote, saying the commission was not provided with the information it needed to make a decision, and in particular the calculation of the amounts to be deducted from the networks’ budgets for failure to comply with the requirements of the basic curriculum.

Let us recall that last month the transfer of money was canceled by the High Court of Justice as approved by the financial commission retroactively without deputies receiving real information about it.

The judges also indicated that the Knesset must receive all the necessary data for the discussion, but emphasized that the question of what information is needed is left to the discretion of the members.
