Unpublished series project by Christian Ulmen: The actor is said to have filmed allegations against him

Ulmen produced a new series for the latter media company last year. After the allegations were published, those responsible announced that they would not broadcast it until further notice.

As “Zeit” now reports, parts of the allegations against Ulmen are said to be reflected in “The Au Pair” in a fictionalized form. The newspaper relies on reading six scripts for the eight series episodes as well as conversations with those involved in the project. The series was produced by the company Pajama Pictures, which Ulmen co-founded in 2019.

A young man spreads pictures of his girlfriend in sex chat groups

According to “Zeit”, the character Lasse in the series with the working title “The Au Pair” tearfully confesses to his girlfriend that he uploaded pictures of her to sex chat groups and that the other men’s reactions to them aroused him.

Collien Fernandes has reported her ex-husband for, among other things, “alleged unlawful faking of marital status, disclosure of confidential information and public insult.” The specific accusation: Ulmen is said to have repeatedly pretended to be his wife on the Internet for years and to have had erotic conversations with various men under her name and to have sent pornographic images and videos that were supposed to show Fernandes. Fernandes also reported in “Spiegel” that Ulmen is said to have confessed his crimes to her in December 2024.

Regarding the allegations, Ulmen said through a media law firm that the reporting was “unlawful.” “Untrue facts are being spread based on a one-sided narrative.” The presumption of innocence applies.

Christian Ulmen was largely creatively responsible for “The Au Pair”, he wrote the scripts and directed it. The shooting took place last fall, months after his alleged confession.

The main role in the series also played Christian Ulmen himself, a man named Frank, who emigrated from Germany to Mallorca with his wife and three children, one of whom is the aforementioned Lasse. The real Ulmen-Fernandes couple also moved to the Spanish island in 2023.

According to “Zeit”, in the series Frank mainly looks after the three children, while his wife is busy as a doctor. In order to get his inferiority complex and frustration under control, the father begins therapy. At the same time, he gets involved with an agency for male prostitutes and from then on fulfills the sometimes humiliating sexual needs of older women. Due to a medical error, his wife is responsible for the fact that a patient’s testicles have to be removed.

As “Zeit” reports, after the allegations became known, the production company is said to have sent an email to participants in the series in which they declared their loyalty to Collien Fernandes and distanced themselves from Ulmen. Pajama Pictures had previously made it public that they were in discussions with him about returning his shareholder shares.

The actor Fahri Yardım, who plays alongside Ulmen in “Jerks” and also took on a role in “The Au Pair”, has now distanced himself from him in a statement. He was “just as shocked as many others” and felt for Collien Fernandes.
